The Málaga Marathon follows a scenic coastal route starting in the historic city center near the Cathedral and finishing along the beautiful Paseo Marítimo beachfront. The course winds through the city's cultural heart, passes through the modern port area, and offers stunning Mediterranean Sea views for much of the second half. Runners experience a perfect blend of urban heritage, modern Málaga, and coastal scenery with minimal elevation changes.
December in Málaga offers mild Mediterranean autumn-to-winter weather with moderate temperatures ideal for running. Occasional rain is possible but sunshine is common, making for pleasant marathon conditions without summer heat.
