The Kampala Marathon features a scenic urban and peri-urban route through Uganda's capital city, starting and finishing at Kololo Independence Grounds. The course winds through the city's iconic hills, passing residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, and offering views of Lake Victoria in the distance. Runners navigate undulating terrain typical of Kampala's distinctive topography.
November is part of Uganda's dry season with warm, mostly pleasant conditions. Occasional morning fog typical of the East African highlands, with low rainfall risk making it favorable for distance running.
