2010Established in 2010, the Doha Marathon is now 16 years old. From its first edition in Doha, it has evolved into a race that reflects the character of its host region in Qatar.
The Doha Marathon features a scenic loop course starting and finishing at the iconic Corniche waterfront, showcasing Qatar's modern architecture and coastal beauty. The flat course winds through the city center, passing landmarks like the Museum of Islamic Art and the Pearl-Qatar before returning along the Corniche. Runners enjoy excellent infrastructure with well-stocked aid stations and spectator support throughout the route.
Mild winter conditions with cool mornings and pleasant afternoons. Light breeze from the Persian Gulf provides relief during the race. Low humidity and minimal rain risk make January ideal for marathon running in Doha.
