2013Established in 2013, the Accra Marathon is now 13 years old. From its first edition in Accra, it has evolved into a race that reflects the character of its host region in Ghana.

The Accra Marathon features a scenic coastal route through Ghana's vibrant capital city, starting and finishing near the Accra Sports Stadium. The predominantly flat course takes runners along beachfront roads, through residential neighborhoods, and past iconic landmarks including Osu Castle and the Jamestown fishing community. The route celebrates Accra's cultural heritage with multiple water stations featuring local refreshments.
