2011Established in 2011, the Sarajevo Half Marathon is now 15 years old. From its first edition in Sarajevo, it has evolved into a race that reflects the character of its host region in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Sarajevo Half Marathon winds through the historic Austro-Hungarian quarters and along the Miljacka River, passing iconic landmarks including the Vijecnica (City Hall) and the Olympic Stadium from the 1984 Winter Games. The course features rolling terrain with moderate elevation changes, combining cobblestone streets through the Old Town with modern asphalt roads through the city's newer districts.
