Starting from Villa Pisani in Stra on the Venetian mainland, the course runs south toward the Adriatic coast through the flat Veneto countryside, crosses the Ponte della Libertà causeway, and finishes in the iconic Piazza San Marco in the heart of Venice. This unique urban-to-urban route culminates with runners crossing into the historic city by foot, making it one of Europe's most distinctive marathon finishes.
