2005Established in 2005, the Marrakech Marathon is now 21 years old. From its first edition in Marrakech, it has evolved into a race that reflects the character of its host region in Morocco.

The Marrakech Marathon winds through the historic medina, past the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, and through the modern Ville Nouvelle district. Runners experience the blend of ancient riads, bustling souks, and contemporary Moroccan life. The course features rolling terrain with moderate climbs through residential neighborhoods and palm-lined avenues, offering spectacular views of the Atlas Mountains in the distance.
