2005Established in 2005, the Florence Marathon is now 21 years old. From its first edition in Florence, it has evolved into a race that reflects the character of its host region in Italy.

The Florence Marathon starts and finishes in the historic Piazza della Signoria, taking runners through the heart of Renaissance Florence and the stunning Tuscan countryside. The course combines urban sections through medieval streets with scenic loops along the Arno River and through rolling Tuscan hills, offering iconic views of the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and surrounding vineyards.
